What is Pip Start?
Pip Start was grown out of a passion to prepare youth
to serve and give to society with God’s heart in mind. Webster’s College
Dictionary defines the word “pip,” as a seed, especially of a fleshy fruit, or
a fruit seed. Appropriately named, Pip Start’s objective is to nurture the
seeds of God’s purpose in youth by teaching life skills, character, and
academics, allowing youth to exchange destructive behavior for fruitfulness.
Pip Start focuses on three major programs: Master Builder, Praise in the Park,
and Relationship Salsa. These programs enable us to reach youth thus, serving

Where did Pip Start come
from?
Pip Start is a merger between two 501c(3) non-profit
corporations, PIP Ministries and MOVES. PIP Ministries was
founded in 1998 with the purpose to promote Christian fellowship in
youth and the community. MOVES (Motivational Outreach for Visions of
Engineering and Science) was founded in 1995 with the
purpose to motivate students to learn through teamwork, creativity and problems
solving; and using math, science and engineering as a tool.
