Purpose To strengthen relationships of youth with God, family and friends

Mission To use 1) Latin dance as a vehicle to grow healthy interaction between young men & women 2) bible based discussions to nurture the relationships and 3) fellowship to increase peer accountability in relationships of young people with their God, family and friends.

History Relationship Salsa began from a desire to dance, a love for music and the love in the marriage of Ronald and Nia Bell. Ronald had years of dance training and taught dance since 1998. Beginning in the Spring of 2002 Ronald & Nia first held relationship Salsa while engaged, then after marriage held the second session in the dorms at the University of Texas at Austin. Ronald & Nia Bell are both certified counselors. Robert Booth now leads this ministry.

Sessions Relationship Salsa 4 Life workshops will begin with activities to the class started. Next the Salsa music and dance lessons begin. After the lessons, the group may have an optional discussion on God’s plan for relationships or marriage. Relationship and marriage Salsa can be done in one session from 45 minutes to 2 hours, or a series of days.

Classes Regular monthly classes are held on Thursday nights from 7pm-8pm at the YMCA on 9616 North Lamar in Austin Texas ($3 per class for members and $5 per class for non-members).
